Teresa Hunter To All Instructors
I am a passionate advocate for early childhood education and parental involvement. With 7 years of experience in the LENA Start program through Virginia Beach Grow Smart, I empowered over 300 parents to support their children's development. As a parent coordinator and substitute teacher with Early Literacy Support, I cultivated my expertise in literacy education.
Currently, I am homeschooling my daughter Ivy using the SIPPS program and pursuing higher education in early childhood education at Tidewater Communtiy College. I am the proud owner of TeezByT and was featured in the documentary "The Right to Read," which highlights the importance of literacy education. You can watch the documentary here: https://www.therighttoreadfilm.org/
I believe literacy is the key to effective communication and self-expression. I am dedicated to helping children gain literacy freedom and look forward to working with parents and students.
I am thrilled to be working with your children and to be a part of their educational journey. I remind you that "You are your child's first teacher" and "Your child will see the world through the lens YOU provide!
